Natural Healing Handbook

Natural Healing Handbook is a collection of AI enhanced/written herbal tutorials by Cliff Adkins (even his author photo is AI). Released 1st July, it's 99 pages and is available in paperback and ebook formats.  It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links throughout.  For Kindle Unlimited subscribers, this book is currently included in the KU subscription library to borrow and read for free.

The content is easy to access and understand. It's written in simple layman language, and contains recipes arranged thematically: introductory chapters on methods and materiale (how-to) including a short chapter on dosing and uses, a short herbal (covering 20 herbs), sleep anxiety & stress relief, immune system, digestion, liver support, skin care/topicals, and building a home apothecary.

All the illustrations are AI. All the recipes are AI and written with generative AI. The author/publisher have included a QR code which links to additional resources (jar label templates, dosing recommendations, etc).

Readers must ask themselves how they feel generative AI should be used. For folks who do not mind AI generated books, this would be a 4 star read. For readers who are terrified by scraped and repacked content, 1 star.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
