The Forget-Me-Not Library

The Forget-Me-Not Library is a cozy standalone story of found family, growth, and love by Heather Webber. Released 4th Nov 2025 by Macmillan on their St. Martin's Press imprint, it's 352 pages and is available in hardcover, audio, and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links.

This is a well written story told in parallel points of view with engaging and sympathetic characters. There's a cozy vibe full of comfort and gentle warmth. It's not super deep, but it is kindly told, and if there's a bit of "diversity bingo", well, that's fine (especially given the state of the real world today, escapist magical realism is just perfect - we need all we can get).

Eminently readable, kindly written, and sweet.

The unabridged audiobook has a run time of 11 hours 44 minutes and is capably narrated. Many of the characters are from the southern parts of the USA and as such, there's quite a lot of (culturally appropriate) regional accent in the characters' voices. It's intrusive, at least at first, but eventually fades into neutrality. Sound and production quality are high throughout the read.

Four stars. It would be a good choice for public library acquisition, home library, or possibly a buddy read.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
