Grandpas, Piranhas, and Other Stories is an adorable picture book written and illustrated by Rocío Bonilla. Released 10th March 2026 by Albatros Media, it's 48 pages and is available in hardcover format. Spanish language edition also available from the same publisher.
Nico and his grandpa Rodrigo have a special bond and get to have lots of fun adventures together, tell stories, build blanket forts, and help each other with challenges like math homework and cell phones. This is a cute book with lots of imagination and heart. The illustrations are full of small details, beautifully colored, and support the story nicely.
The text is simple and easy to read.
Four and a half stars. It would be an excellent choice for public, school, or home library acquisition. All content is age appropriate (ca 3-6 years, Lexile 730L). Fun and imaginative.
