Just in Case is a beautifully illustrated children's book about conservation and the mission of the Svalbard global seed vault written by Megan Clendenan. Released 14th Oct 2025 by Charlesbridge, it's 32 pages and available in hardcover and ebook formats.
All the information included in this beautiful book is factual and presented in age-appropriate accessible text. The illustrations by Brittany Cicchese are in color and support the text very well. They show how the storage vaults look, how they operate, and gives some info about what kinds of seeds and genetic material is stored there (and why).
Five stars. It would be an excellent choice for school or public library acquisition, home use, or gifting to a science interested young friend.
